Our first opportunity is on April 3, 6-8:30pm, the plan will be to head out from the four walls of Veritas and engage people living in the motels on Aurora. The way we hope to engage them is by providing dinner and asking how we can pray for them. We will of course have plenty of adult supervision and will divide up the group into smaller groups so that we don't overwhelm the motel guests. This should prove to be an amazing way for us to engage with the "Eyes to See" challenge.
On April 10, 6-8:30pm, we are joining together with four other youth ministries for a combined youth group event. The theme is unity and the night will "feel" like any Wednesday night. They can meet us at Aurora Nazarene (1900 N 175th St, Shoreline, WA 98133) anytime between 6-7pm for free pizza and hang-out time. Then be picked up at 8:30pm. We would love for your MS student to join us on this evening.
The third is to participate with World Vision 30hr Famine on April 26 & 27. We will be meeting at the church on Friday night to learn about world hunger and other third world challenges. Saturday we will spend the day serving our community and the end the fast with a light dinner at 6pm. Here is a link for parents FAQ's about the famine: http://www.30hourfamine.org/info-for-parents/
Please let us know if you need more information about any of these events. We will send you more information each week in our weekly update emails.
