A lifelong passion for serving brought Leah to Japan where she spent the first stages of
her career as the Recreation Director for the US Navy. During that time she completed her
Bachelor's degree in business and marketing through the University of Maryland.
When Leah returned to the US, her desire to work in the non-profit world created
opportunities in several local organizations. While completing her Masters Degree in project
management, Leah worked first at the Technology Access Foundation, and later for the
Bread of Life Mission.
Leah’s background, combined with being the Youth Leader at her church, prepared her for
her current role as the National Director for World Vision's 30 Hour Famine program. She
has had the opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe and Zambia on 30 Hour Famine trips with
students and youth leaders.
Leah is currently enrolled at Fuller Seminary and studying youth ministry. She lives with her
husband in Seattle, and after hours will most often be found enjoying the incredible outdoors through camping or kayaking.
