My goal, at least three times a year, is to look at our programs and ask the question, "Do any of these programs need to die or change?" I hope I never get caught in the trap of thinking, "We have always done it this way, so why change it now?" Change is difficult for people, so you really need to be wise about what you change. Change for change's sake is dangerous. Yet, if you can share the vision behind why you are making the transition, I believe it will help move the vision and purpose of your ministry forward.
What are you doing right now in your ministry that needs to die? Can you begin to have conversations with people you trust about changing that "sacred cow"?
